My parents agreed to babysit and D and I got to both usher for a concert - the band
Death Cab for Cutie came to town. I had heard of them, and so I was happy to work. They had two pre-shows, so two intermissions before they ever came out - so it was a long night. I recognized no songs by any of them, but it was music I liked, so it was a decent night. I wish I knew what the bands stood for or if they used drugs - because I really have no clue about these bands. And I would say more positive things about them if I was sure. (:

1st we heard Rah Rah Riot - I liked them. I had never seen an electric cello before - that was kind of cool.
2nd Cold War Kids preformed. They were my least favorite. They played part of a song in the dark (yes in the dark - although everyone I told said they didn't notice) and I thought that was weird.
Then the main band came out!

They were good. D was in heaven as the usher that stands RIGHT next to the stage - so he got an up close view of the show (as well as feeling the beat, as he was right next to the speakers!) I always work in the balcony - which is fine. Although I did get permission to go down and stand next to the stage for 3 minutes to take a picture (but it's with my phone and I don't know how to get it off the phone, sorry). It's a different feel so close to the stage - their main singer looks older. (: I'm glad we got to go.
