Registered School Girl

B is registered to attend Kindergarten for the fall! She is excited. My time of being her main influence 24 hours a day is drawing to a close. . . . . . . We'll see how Z handles it - he's been with her almost every day of his life.

(where she got ideas for these poses I don't know. I say smile and she moves her hands and body - she's a poser!)

Goop Filled Egg

For Easter, from Mammaw, my kids got an egg with "goop" in it. Not sure what it's called, not sure what it is - but it is awesome stuff!!! Doesn't stick to fingers and it's very entertaining! The others played with theirs too the first few days - but Ak keeps asking for the stuff and goes and does her own thing. (: THANK YOU!!! I would recommend it to all if I knew what it was! (:

New Duds

B got a couple new shirts from Mammaw. Despite the goofy pose - super cute shirt!

Ak wanted to wear flip flops last week since her siblings were - I felt bad she didn't have some, but then I remembered a pair that AJ had given B a couple years ago and had been hidden for the past 2 years in the old van and recently found!

Z got this outfit this weekend from Mammaw! What a stud! I broke out some penny loafers I bought him for $1 that I bought a few months ago - even though they were a tad big - I thought they matched! (:
Cute kids, huh???!!!

To Clarify - perhaps needlessly?

For those of you that don't subscribe to a feed - you might miss the post below of our Easter Sunday. I started that post first - but then went to the concert one and finished it. But because I had started the Easter one first - it put it below in that order. I didn't finish the Easter one till later. So just in case you missed it and are interested - scroll down. Thanks.

3 in 1 Concert!

My parents agreed to babysit and D and I got to both usher for a concert - the band Death Cab for Cutie came to town. I had heard of them, and so I was happy to work. They had two pre-shows, so two intermissions before they ever came out - so it was a long night. I recognized no songs by any of them, but it was music I liked, so it was a decent night. I wish I knew what the bands stood for or if they used drugs - because I really have no clue about these bands. And I would say more positive things about them if I was sure. (:
1st we heard Rah Rah Riot - I liked them. I had never seen an electric cello before - that was kind of cool.
2nd Cold War Kids preformed. They were my least favorite. They played part of a song in the dark (yes in the dark - although everyone I told said they didn't notice) and I thought that was weird.
Then the main band came out! They were good. D was in heaven as the usher that stands RIGHT next to the stage - so he got an up close view of the show (as well as feeling the beat, as he was right next to the speakers!) I always work in the balcony - which is fine. Although I did get permission to go down and stand next to the stage for 3 minutes to take a picture (but it's with my phone and I don't know how to get it off the phone, sorry). It's a different feel so close to the stage - their main singer looks older. (: I'm glad we got to go.

Easter Sunday

First we found our baskets! Not much candy. They didn't seem to mind.

Pretty Easter Bonnets! Poor Ak looks like she has heartburn - she didn't want her picture taken and right after this - she fell and scraped her knee - luckily all the blood only got on the inside of the dress!!!

Ready for church.

Don't they look nice!

Little windy and still Ak not into picture taking!

We had an egg in our yard!

Cousins had a good time!

Would it be a gathering without some musical instrument being brought out? NOT for my family. (:

D's mom and Pappaw came over for dinner. They brought these cute gift bags full for my kids! My parents and brother's family came too. Some played some cornhole after dinner and even a game of cards later!

D's mom brought me this pretty plant! I need to plant it outside so I can enjoy it next year too!
My parents brought the kids a little something and me this plant! I love plants, D doesn't. Thus it is my gift. I felt like a hostess, since I was getting flowers and such!
We had a great day - even D said he thought so after everyone left!!!

Egg Hunt

We did another egg hunt after Music Makers this year. Each kid brought 12 filled eggs and they got to hunt for 12 to take home. The weather was super nice and there were some workers inside the building - so we did the hunt outside this year. I think everyone had a good time - my kids did!!! I'm so thankful for a group of ladies who are willing to help this program happen so my kids can benefit from attending!

I gave them new shirts today! Z's I got at a consignment sale - I had to call D on the phone to ask if he thought it would be cool/okay for Z to wear. I don't know much about the band and I didn't want him wearing some band's logo if they are too questionable! D said "BUY IT!" I'd also seen my brother's son wear a similar T-shirt- so hope you approve of your son's shirt because it influenced me being okay with this one! (:
B's and A's matched! Clearance find from last year I've been waiting to give them!
Since I know some of you know my friend Sharon - these are 2 of hers. I couldn't resist showing off that smile!
Afterwards we went to the Lake because we had to spend a little time before an appointment. BEAUTIFUL day - if summer never got hotter than today, I'd be a happy lady!!! The kids had fun on the playground. (I would have taken more pictures, but I had no more memory space on my camera!) Fun Day!

Spring Music Makers

Here we are in an opening song to music makers doing our rolling our hands action like pros. Here we are with our puppets during the La,la,la song.

During singing time we got to raise up out of the "ground" as flowers blooming!
Middle child is Z and far right is B.

Here's B leading the Bunny Hop during Movement Time.

We started a new monthly theme this week: Easter & Spring.
This was all fun stuff plus we did more too!

Visiting Trip!

Got to go to St. Louis at the beginning of D's spring break - 3 1/2 days without children!!! Thank you in-laws!!! He drove out earlier in the day with a friend to visit a Haunted House Trade Show. He took some crazy pictures of Flat Stanley with some dressed up characters - but those are on his camera - sorry. They crashed 2 nights at an old friend's house and her family. Her kids fell in love with the "Two Guys" in the basement. They spent two days at the trade show.

I drove out later that day by myself (I was VERY tired) and got to see 2 old friends who used to live in KY!!! But I spent the night at my brother's place who also lives near by - and I got to spend most of my time with my sister in law! Sorry she doesn't do photos. (: And then D helped do some painting and then he and I rode home together. Back to the life with kids. (:
