P.S. Sprinkles

So here are the promised pictures of Ak from B's friend's Bday party! I was busy doing stuff and I hear my friends laughing - and what do I find? But Ak dumping the last of a SECOND container of sprinkles onto her gingerbread cookie! You can't even see the cookie underneath her pile of sprinkles!!! She seemed very happy so my friends wouldn't let me scold - so we took pictures. And what does she say next: "I need more sprinkles" as serious as could be. HA HA!!

B's Friend Party!

For B turning 6 years old - I let her invite over 6 friends to decorate "gingerbread" houses. I was a tad nervous upon finding out many kids do this at school - but it's been a tradition since she turned one - so I hoped some kids would have fun making another one. I stressed out about making REAL gingerbread houses (decided against it) then stressed over using piping bags of icing (decided against that too). I choose to add a gingerbread man (which I made) to decorate and call it good. (: I was elated at the end to feel as if the party was a SUCCESS!!!I made my usual individual stations with house, icing and toppings. (this year some gummy bears and chocolate chips got added with the sugar cereal normal ones - so we had the sweetest toppings I've ever offered)Luckily I had the room I needed for 13 kids stations (siblings were allowed to come). B invited 2 school friends, 3 from church and one who's g-ma lives next door to us.Here is the fun party group! (sorry not all completely made the picture)

Here's B working on her house with happy friends.

Look at the cute smiles on their faces and houses. (Their Mom made my night!!! The lady is SUPER organized and she seemed impressed with my party, which coming from her I took as a HUGE compliment - I am so glad they came!!!)
Z: I love gummy bears!

Ak: I love marshmellows!!! (and sprinkles - story with that later if I can get a picture)
At the dinner table: chicken nuggets & tater tots! (:
B got all NICE things!!! Some project stuff to make - which is thoughtful and appropriate for B who feels she is an artist! A webkin HORSE (she loves horses!!!) A Fancy Nancy Puzzle!!! And two gift cards - perfect!
I had to leave a section of the cake uniced as a token of my upbringing! (we just got candles in a cake - no icing as a kid)
B choose lemon as her cake of choice for this party and neopolitan ice cream. She blew out all the candles on her first try! Then someone asked her if she made a wish - I panicked thinking I wasn't sure if she knew of that tradition - but she answered YES confidently - so . . . (:
Then the party was over. I think they all had a great time and I felt good afterwards - so I really hope they did since I'm not stressing that they didn't! (: But after everyone left - I was tired of standing and there was a house (I think Ak had already eaten all her stuff of it) so I decorated it! (:
I made a sidewalk, tree, shudders, and flowers. (:
I am thankful for those that came to help celebrate B's birthday - I think she had a great time!

Family Party for the Birthday Girls

Last weekend we ate lunch with the family that came over!

Then we decorated "gingerbread" houses!
With AJ around - my kids are always happy! Here's B's house.
Here's Ak's house.
Here's the boy with the Mormon House! See the food storage?! (: This house cracks me up!!! I think he's figured out that whatever is on the plate he gets to eat over the next few days! (:
Gma got to decorate a tree - like she used to when she was younger! She insisted on green icing!
Ak hiding while we sang to them - B will be 6 and Ak is 3!!! WOW!!!
Ak asked for chocolate icing. ):
Guess she liked it. (:
Yea! (although NOTE: she didn't devour all of this - but makes for good pictures)
Both girls got some nice presents from everyone, including this sent up from Gpa P & Gma D for Ak.
B was excited to wear her new boots from Uncle Matt! Cute and modern!
And can we say TECHNOLOGY for the 6 year old:
Mammaw gave her a digital camera! WOW!
And Gpa P & Gma D sent a toy laptop! WOW!!! Especially funny since a few months ago I overheard her tell someone she wanted a GPS for her birthday?! I laughed since we don't have one and she can't use one! (: But she DID get some new technology she can use. (: THANK YOU TO ALL!!!! I think the girls had a fun party!!!

Cradle School Catch Up

Z was loving it when we painted!

Daddy would have been proud how into Z got! (:

Ak too loved the painting activity!

We got to string "popcorn" on a string! Fun!

And make bead wreaths ornaments.

And play with play-dough!!!

Ak made an "ice cream" playdough creation!Z making a tree craft - I think this was a super cool craft! (The lady in charge got these cardboard cones donated -so we got to use them!)

Both of my kids LOVE this toy acordian when it's instrument time!

Ak painting a tree stamp --
To put on her shirt!

Here is Z's - he also added his name at the bottom.

Fun Free Resource here in town! I'm glad I have learned about Cradle School! I overheard Z explaining Cradle School to B and he said "It's like real school - you have to leave your shoes on!" I laughed!!! That's what stands out to him!?!?
