For B turning 6 years old - I let her invite over 6 friends to decorate "gingerbread" houses. I was a tad nervous upon finding out many kids do this at school - but it's been a tradition since she turned one - so I hoped some kids would have fun making another one. I stressed out about making REAL gingerbread houses (decided against it) then stressed over using piping bags of icing (decided against that too). I choose to add a gingerbread man (which I made) to decorate and call it good. (: I was elated at the end to feel as if the party was a SUCCESS!!!

I made my usual individual stations with house, icing and toppings. (this year some gummy bears and chocolate chips got added with the sugar cereal normal ones - so we had the sweetest toppings I've ever offered)

Luckily I had the room I needed for 13 kids stations (siblings were allowed to come). B invited 2 school friends, 3 from church and one who's g-ma lives next door to us.

Here is the fun party group! (sorry not all completely made the picture)

Here's B working on her house with happy friends.

Look at the cute smiles on their faces and houses. (Their Mom made my night!!! The lady is SUPER organized and she seemed impressed with my party, which coming from her I took as a HUGE compliment - I am so glad they came!!!)

Z: I love gummy bears!

Ak: I love marshmellows!!! (and sprinkles - story with that later if I can get a picture)

At the dinner table: chicken nuggets & tater tots! (:

B got all NICE things!!! Some project stuff to make - which is thoughtful and appropriate for B who feels she is an artist! A webkin HORSE (she loves horses!!!) A Fancy Nancy Puzzle!!! And two gift cards - perfect!

I had to leave a section of the cake uniced as a token of my upbringing! (we just got candles in a cake - no icing as a kid)

B choose lemon as her cake of choice for this party and neopolitan ice cream. She blew out all the candles on her first try! Then someone asked her if she made a wish - I panicked thinking I wasn't sure if she knew of that tradition - but she answered YES confidently - so . . . (:

Then the party was over. I think they all had a great time and I felt good afterwards - so I really hope they did since I'm not stressing that they didn't! (: But after everyone left - I was tired of standing and there was a house (I think Ak had already eaten all her stuff of it) so I decorated it! (:

I made a sidewalk, tree, shudders, and flowers. (:
I am thankful for those that came to help celebrate B's birthday - I think she had a great time!
