Happy Halloween!

October 31 Trick or Treating!!!   We went with some friends (3rd year in a row) . . .  D got lots of comments about his cow costume!  :)
Their neighborhood is nice to walk through and they give out good stuff!  This was Katie's loot when we got back . . . .only 2 long and 2 flavored tootsie rolls.  I remember one year as a kid - I got 100 tootsie rolls!    :)

After 3 nights of candy collecting . . . we have more than this!  :)  We're good for a year!  :)

Trunk or Treat

D painted their faces before we left for the church.   B "a flower" didn't want to stand next to Z "Frankenstein".  :)
Here's me with Carla Simpson, our new Primary Choister, aka girl with great costumes!  :)
Primary was in charge of the cake walk!

Ak (our pumpkin) with her friend Kate and B brought a friend, Katie!  :)

After going around to the cars Z was happy to help Gpa pass out treats.  B and Katie passed out some candy from sitting in our van trunk and Ak was hanging out with Kate.  :)
The kids had a good time!

Carving Time!

Sorry this is sideways!  Here's Ak excited that her little cutting tool got the "top" off!  :)
B was not very excited about sticking her hand inside and getting it goopy!!!  :)

Can you see D's witch on the left and the bat under the moon on the right?   Fun activity with Daddy!!!

School Fall Activities

Ak's class go to hit the great pumpkin pinata!  :)   Each child got a bag of candy!  :)

B's class played a variety of games at their fall festival . . .  I helped with the biting an apple game.  :)
In the evening we went to the school for trick or treating around to all the class rooms.  Ak had dance class right before . . . so she came dressed as a ballerina to save time!  We brought the tutu to add something!  ;)

B went around with a friend . . . I was waiting for the mom to send me a picture .  . . . I can't wait anymore to post this.  :)

Pumpkin Decorating Contest

At school there is a contest where they are to show their favorite book character.   B's first year they were allowed to use real pumpkins, but now they have to use fake ones.   Luckily my kids have let us paint over last years since I don't want 20 painted pumpkins around at the end of our elementary school experience.  :)   They were excited to ask their Dad if he could paint for them.  (I didn't tell them but they aren't going to win when the librarian knows they didn't paint it . . . but they seem to love the arrangment, so I haven't discouraged it.)
Good job D!  :)

October Birthday Parties

Our friend Ethan was turning 6 and getting ready to move to Germany!  My kids were thrilled to go celebrate with him and his brothers at an Inflatable Fun Zone!!!  :)

Thanks for being a great friend!  We'll miss you and can't wait till we see you again!!!!!!
Another day we got invited to help Hailey celebrate her 4th Birthday with a bunch of friends!!!
There was face painting when we got there! Which worked out well for me since 2 of my kids wanted their faces painted for the next party the same day . . .    There was a treasure/scavenger hunt with clues that took them all over the property and ended up with the "treasure" = a pumpkin for EACH of them to paint and take home!!!

Z chose to leave with a friend after the presents and cake so he could be on time to the next party . . . the girls choose to stay so they could have a horse ride!!!  B LOVES horses - so I knew she would want this choice!  :)

Here's the birthday girl with her cute family!   Love these guys!  (yes, the dad here is in the same chainsaw haunted house gang as D, but his wife asked him NOT to shave his head.)
Then came our dear friend Mateo's Star Wars party!!!   Here's Z aka Storm Tropper!
Ak wanted to be R2D2!  I tried to tell her the make up was enough - but NO - she had to change her clothes!  When she got out of the car she waddled up to the door . . . literally up the driveway . . . to imitate the shortness of R2D2!  :)  Cute!  :)       They each got a "light sabor" to take home and to play with at the party!

His mom did an awesome job of having themed food!  Labeled with Star Wars Names!  All impressive!   I wish I could have stayed longer to chat and enjoy this party!   (I had to leave early to get ready for Zombie Fest) Luckily my in-laws came and helped me this day!!!
You're growing up Mateo!  :)  Thanks for the invite!!!!

Mammaw and AJ came to our Primary Presentation at church!  The kids did a great job singing and saying their parts!!!

After church we celebrated Mammaw's birthday!

Thanks for coming - the kids had a fun time!
