Random in April

 

Fun snack we made.    Ak found this crocheted bonnet made for a baby (I think Z) and decided it would make a good night hat.  She's been wearing it now for weeks!  Funny!  :)

 

 They were invited to a mystery dinner birthday party!  Here they are greeted at the door by a butler.   B was a reporter and Z was a personal assistant to the millionaire birthday boy (with magnifing glass.)   They said they had a great time!   Fun idea!

2013 NCAA Champs!

 D was excited his college team made it to the National Championship Game!  They all wore Louisville shirts to school today to support his team!   Z is a cardinal fan.   B will support both state teams.  Ak is more of a blue U.K. wildcat fan.   Before she agreed to wear this shirt she asked me if she would see her Aunt Jennifer (AJ)  today?   When I told her no - she agreed to wear one of Z's shirts.  :)  :)   She knows AJ is a huge U.K. fan and she didn't want to be wearing red around her . . . so funny!!!

 

Our bishop's family got to go to the final four and the final game in Atlanta!!!!!   How awesome!!!  Especially since U of L won!!!!!!!!!!!!!!   Yea, his wife quickly learned why her husband had suggested they go to Atlanta for spring break . . . because the tournament was ending up there at the end of the week.  Yea, they extended their stay!  :)   Fun, fun!

Last year U.K. won and now this year UofL!!!  Go Kentucky!  Way to keep it in the state!!

Recent Randomness

 

Zoo Trip!

Spring break and sunny . . . so we headed for the zoo!  Glad to have friends and family to go with!!!

 Got to see the baby zebra that was born here at the zoo.

 

 

 

We got to see a sea lion during a short training session!  And I'm not sure I realized that flamingo's knees bend the opposite ways as ours till I saw this one "kneeling". . . . not sure how I missed that before!  :)  

 

I ran into an old college roommate!!!   How fun it was to quickly chat . . . I could have chatted for a couple of  hours with her!  Love that fun girl!  While there this orangutan started hanging on the top of the window moving to the other side, his whole body covered the window vertically . . it was a sight!  But I didn't get my camera out quick enough!  sorry.   :)   

 

Ak LOVES babies.   She's very partial to this little girl and has been hugging on her since she was little little!  Luckily she likes Ak too!   At the zoo she was saying Ak's name and I caught them walking with their arms around each other!  :)   Cute!  :)    

Other than me forgetting to put sunscreen on my girls noses/cheeks or make them wear a hat to prevent a sunburn . . . we had a good time!  :)
