Well . . . . today I found out I have breast cancer.

My summer is not going to be what I thought it might be.

On the red carpet! May 15

They made a documentary of the Carrollton Bush Crash.

I went to see it with my high school friend:   Deana Gibb Keith

I got to hear Deana's story/emotions from the weekend of May 14, 1988  (she wasn't on the bus - but all her close friends were.)

I wasn't on the bus (I was in Germany - it hit the newspaper there and remembered friends names that I knew in elementary school as I saw a list in the newspaper from that bus crash.)

 Our class of 1992 classmate - Harold Dennis on the far right next to the director, Governor's wife and producers.   We greeted him but perhaps we should have asked to have our picture taken with Harold?  When will we get to be on a red carpet again?!  :)

We got to go see their film:    Impact: After the Crash 

for their special screening in Hardin County for the 25 year anniversary

I am really glad Deana went with me!   We know how it was in high school being around those that were dealing with it.   It was still fresh.   Crazy looking back.   Good documentary.

Pappaw's Reunion

 Always lots of fun and food at the cabin that Pappaw's brother built where the reunion is held!  :)

The kids went on a nice nature walk with AJ . . . came back with ticks!   :(     

And had fun ride in Uncle Matt's jeep.   :)

 

Church Dance Recital

 Ak and B did a great job!!!   I think they did over 5 routines!  I need to check the program!

 Z got to dance in 2 numbers too!!!

 

Ms. Isabel did a great job with everyone!!!!   We have a video - feel free to ask to see it!

B's friend Katie from school took this class with her!!!  We're going to miss her when she moves this summer.

Z's Baptism

 We are thankful for Z's decision to follow Jesus's Christ's example and get baptized!

 

 We are thankful for the friends and family that were able to attend!   

Afterwards we had ice cream to help mingle and celebrate!

B's Dance Recital

 Here's our row to watch!!!  Front row balcony!!!  Thank you for coming and staying for the whole show!

 B is the one on the left in the middle.  She and Belle were the blue birds that  went and "unfroze" all the other little groups.  :)  They did a great job!

Here's B with Jai - a girl from my sewing class that she took with B!   And Gma and Gpa were ushers - so they got to see the performance too.
