Z asked me to go with him on his 5th grade field trip to Cincinnati.
He was SO excited! Leading up to the trip and on the trip!
The National Underground Railroad Freedom Center
Our tour guide pointed out on this piece what the artist put up towards the top of this piece - the difference between 2 bars: The crisscross ones on the side were where the man had no choice (due to slavery) but the one in the middle had a choice to be behind bars and made a bad one (put in prison).
And we learned about Harry 'Box' Brown.
He was a slave that shipped himself to freedom.
He was in a box for 27 hours!
Then we went to the Newport Aquarium.
I'm not sure I've seen bigger jelly fish?
They have a rope bridge across the shark tank that we walked across!
I wore my mask on the bus with the recirculating air and all those kids and a WBC of 1.9 but Z said he'd rather I wear my mask than not come with him as a chaperon.
Back on the bus, Z was so happy and he said that this was the best trip!
That it was "so fun and worth the money." :)
