Other things in April

D went on the 8th grade trip to DC for part of spring break.  (he's not in this photo)

Ak set up Lego Conference for General Conference.  See the TV cameras?  The choir?  :)   B and I got to go see Belle Bethany baptized!  Ak and Z didn't go because after a few FUN days w/ Mammaw (that included kite flying) they got sick.  :(

Ak read "Little House in the Big Woods" on her own and came home wanting snow and maple syrup.  :)  We happened to have some snow cream left in the freezer - so she got to have some!
She decorated some cupcakes to sell at a friend's yard sale!   She got to try out the technique a girl taught her who's business we want to inherit in a year.  :)

Z had to plan an activity on his own for a Webelo Cub Scout requirement.   He called a local car museum that we've never been too and invited a friend to go along.   COOL place.   I need to take people who visit us there - it's free and close by!

We have bunnies all over our yard!   These 2 are close to my garden!  Hopefully the marigolds and netting will deter them!

B did a great job at her school's band concert.   And she got a distinguished rating at the KMEA solo ensemble competition where she played a solo!   The judge asked what grade she was in.   He was impressed and said the french horn is a hard instrument to play and she's doing quite well!  :)

We all went and heard Gpa sing with his barbershop chorus!  And he got to play the ukulele for one song!  The kids are learning how to play it at school and from him at home!

End of Cub Scouts

 Z earned his Webelo Rank!

They had a cool trail set up for the Arrow of Light Ceremony.

On the way to the meeting - he was so excited - he said, "I can't believe this day is here."

He earned the highest achievement in cub scouts!

We're proud of you Z-man!  We love you!

He has "bridged over" into boy scouts . . . . luckily they break the parents in easy with a year of "11 year old scouts".   He's excited!

Who comes up with these ideas of hers?!

Aunt Gen loved it!   Asked for her autograph and everything.
Uncle Kyle's brother died, so they came to town and we had them over for banana splits!
 Rod came!

Uncle Kyle helped w/ her hair!

 They love to be goofy!
Glad we got to see them!!!
Thanks for coming over!
