I was going to AZ to meet up with Emily who was there for a LPM conference and I asked if Lara wanted to go along for the experience to see a new state (She paid her own way. She asked if COVID was in Arizona, because we had all heard of this virus that just wasn't in China anymore - but I wasn't worried and I told it was fine and we'd be fine.) We flew from Cincinnati to Phoenix. An old good friend who I hadn't seen in YEARS, picked us up from the airport and let us spend 2 nights at her house!
Got to try Cafe Rio - everyone raves about it once they move away.
Julz's son is on a mission and they have this cut out of him. haha! That's her daughter in the black shirt and her other son with the glasses & his wife. The Elder's "girlfriend" is in the blue tshirt.
We went to this Fair on Saturday where Julz had a booth. She is still her same positive, fun self!
I met up w/ Emily & her rental car & we drove to Lake Havasu! Music playing+road ahead=good time!
We stayed with Aunt Es! She showed us the line dance steps that we would be doing the next day!
The actual London Bridge (not the famous looking Tower Bridge) was bought by an American and relocated in the late 1960's to Lake Havasu where Aunt Es has spent her winters for years. She mentioned in June that she was selling her home in AZ and when we found out Em's conference was the same weekend as the Bridge event - we planned this get together!

Aunt Es is very involved with Line Dancing in this community and she signed us up to dance with her ON the London Bridge in the 9th Annual Line Dancing on the Bridge Event!!!
Click here to see the other side of where we were DANCING ON THE BRIDGE!
It was a lot of FUN!!!
The first year they did this they were trying to make it into the Guinness Book of World Records: most line dancers on a bridge!

Afterwards - we took the ferry across the river to California.
Sisters posing fun on the drive back to Phoenix.
Emily dropped me off at my friend Angels house (where Lara was staying) then she had to catch a plane.
Angel used to live in KY a couple years ago! She works w/ foreign exchange students and got me into it.
She took me on a short night hike. Lara to hang out with her kids and their German exchange student.
My friend Kelly came and picked us up at the Airport in Cincinnati. Stopped at GAP outlet, ate Qdoba, then Kelly helped jumped my car so we could get back home. FUN trip!
