Z's class read "A Teddy Bear for President Roosevelt" in his 2nd grade class and then they got to hand sew a little bear. Ms. Dye has helped Z gain an appreciation for social studies/history.

Z's Bday w/ Extended Family
After a raining morning outside on the soccer field - it was nice to relax and have pizza and celebrate Z's birthday with family!
He got nice presents from everyone!! Bow & Arrow, Star Wars M&M Dispenser, Alarm Clock, Tabletop Fussball, tickets to a baseball game and his own ping pong paddle for the new table that D and Matt got a deal on! It's an indoor/outdoor table that will be stored on our back porch and pulled out into the yard to play but since it was raining and they didn't want to stop playing it got moved to the garage.
Lots of game playing everywhere!

Celebrating Z's B-day w/ Friends!
While purging I found some empty wrapping paper tubes . . . Z thought of a game to use them at his party. He fought someone tell one bent. Then the winner of that round would fight someone else till one bent. Then you repeat it over an over. Funny that Z's didn't break - so he got to fight all his friends. He tied with the two boys below (we had to tell them to stop). Then those two boys went against each other and there was no clear winner! :) I was a little worried how this game might turn out - but it turned out great!
Then another guest pulled up around the corner of the house! :) So we stopped again to go give hugs!
Then it was pinata time!!! D made this!!! Cool!!!
B was hoping for a turn! Last year it got busted before she got a turn and she was VERY disappointed and remembered being sad. She asked Z if she could go first (we were going youngest to oldest) but he said no . . . she was worried it wouldn't get to her - but she didn't complain. And she did get a turn!
Everyone got a turn . . . so Z got to go at it and break it open!!!
We had cake and ice cream and opened presents! He got some nice stuff! It made me laugh while the other kids went back to playing around the yard, I caught Z reading a new book! It was a fun party!
And I was VERY thankful for the good weather! They are all great kids - but I wasn't ready to bring the party inside! So thankful we could have it outside as planned!!! :) It went well!
Kindergarten Derby
And they're off !!!
Ak finished in 3rd place! Her starting spot wasn't ideal to win! But she did great!
