Z always notices this display at the store and when it changes - school bus, haunted house, gingerbread house, football - we'll see what's next?! (: Since Z had a shirt with a football on it - he wanted to take a picture with the display.
He will one day learn of WHY it's in the store. (:

Cradle School

Ak and

Z w/ an instrument during an opening song.

Ak loves the play-dough!
I wrote out a word on Ak's paper - then realized that Z can write his own letters - so he did!
They had to glue animals in the right section - whether they lived on land/ice or water.
One day they got to paint - they love that! Z figured out to use the stensils the teacher had to do these hearts. No, she didn't draw the hearts herself - but she decorated everything else hereself!!!He's made this sandwich two weeks in a row! Is he trying to tell me he will take after his Dad in preferring double or triple stacked burgers? (: Today I experimented and shaped my cream cheese braid in the shape of a heart - I planned on sending this with B for the office staff at her school - but it didn't raise right and the shape wasn't as good as the one I made for D to take to his office staff - so I decided to take this to cradle school and let them help me eat it - it didn't get any complaints. (: Ak with a play-dough heart.

Ready to go home:

Snow Day Again!

We got more snow than ever this season I do believe! 6-8" !!! B tried to make a snow man, but this is all she got.So we went sledding for a little bit.
Look how deep it is! Up to Z's knees! It was a little harder to walk up the hill.
Z found one of D's old skiing hats to wear! (:
Then our outside adventure turned into a big snowball fight. (:

Sick Girl

Ak didn't feel good over the weekend. Turned out she had an ear infection.Above: she had gone to the doctor, taken a nap in her bed, came out of her room, laid down near her chair, refused a pillow, and ate a snack on the floor.

Then fell asleep - she slept there for an hour!
P.S. She is feeling much better.

Mini-Fruit Pizzas

I had made a fruit pizza for a baby shower I threw last Saturday - I had made an extra crust - so I let my kids make a little one each. I cut out little heart shapes, put on the "frosting" and gave them each one to decorate. Ak was modest in her fruit choices.
Z decorated the WHOLE plate! Can you see the orginal heart cookie?
B made a smiley face in the middle and then went out from there. (:
Fun and Yummy!

January Activities

Gpa took us to see the play that B auditioned for (and didn't make it) - one picture B smiled and this one she made her actor's funny face pose. (: In January, storyhour at the library brought winter crafts!Elephants iceskating on foil. (:
Pinguins live where it's COLD!
At the end of the month - we had show and tell.
Ak brought a My Little Pony she got for her birthday. She stood up there by herself and answered Ms. Linda's questions.
Z would NOT go up there alone - so I had to go up there and he sat on my lap - so this was posed afterwards. (: He brought his "love cow" - it was in my valentine's day box I got out the day before. I think Uncle Ben gave it to Z last year - so extra special this year.

Z forgot the rule about jumping and broke his new bunk bed!!! D fixed it and I'm sorry to say it's happened again since then - different board - but we've had to ban kids from the top bunk!
Z thought he would like ants (rainsins) on his log (hot dog) but turned out he didn't. (: His idea.
Playing with a friend in January.
Ak playing w/ homemade playdough that Z brought home from Joy School.
Train puzzle - the engine side.
The caboose end! I remember when Z could only do 4 cars at a time - this is the first time he's understood to seperate all the colors and do the WHOLE THING!!!
They found these and HAD to put them on - they only really fit Ak now - Z calls them the "scratchy ladybugs" now since they are too small!!!
We had a movie night at church and the kids enjoyed their own popcorn and lemonaide!
Here's the Joy School gang (minus camera shy K) - they had put on a skit of the 2 goldilocks and the 4 bears. (: The moms got to watch the videotaped skit when we came to pick them up - cute! Thanks for the teacher's patience that day!!!!
