B competed in the Kindergarten Derby at her school this week and we went to watch! Z and Ak wore hats! (: A few of the teachers had some NICE ones!!! (:
They had each class parade out while "Run for the Roses" played! I love that song! There's B below in pink pants and the redish shirt.

"And they're off!!!" (they had about 12 kids run at a time) They just ran one lap around the gym.

It was a fun little activity to watch!
Then there was a little dancing in the "infield" after the derby for all!

I do not get derby.. maybe because I am a Kentucky implant.. but making horses race for gambling doesnt make sense to me..

What a cool activity. I sure do miss living in KY. Trying to talk Larry into it. Just depends on where CFO positions are available when he is ready to look.
Hey there! I love B's horse and hat! And that's nice that all of the jockey's got a rose! That was a great idea for Derby week!
