ba bum ba smash

Z got a drum set for Christmas from Mammaw.   He anxiously awaited the day where he got to open up the box!     D helped him put it together last month.  I showed him a few YouTube videos of some drum lessons and went through the pamphlet that came with the drum set.  He seemed to quickly understand the walking and running beats and he practiced more than I expected.

Today while my brother was visiting - Z told Uncle Rod a joke - then he left the room and hit his drums . . . . ba bum ba smash!  (or however one types such a noise)  :)   Just like you see/hear when some master of ceremonies cracks a joke.  It made us laugh since it was so unexpected!  I don't where he learned that.   He did it about 3 more times after he told a joke.  Good job Z!!!  I hope you keep trying to master the skill!!!  It's fun to watch/hear progress!

"knock knock."  Who's there?  "A B."   A B who?  "A bee stung me!"

I like the drum set, Zuri.
We'll have to play some music when we get home.

Oh that is so cute! I am so glad you guys were safe from the gas leak and that you didn't have to pay the bill. We had our water heater blow a hole while we were out of town once- well we were actually gone for a month. When we got back the water bill was $1500! Yikes! Fortunately, they gave it to us at cost- so it was only around $300 and our insurance paid for it anyway. Your missionary parents are too cute, and your family is darling. I can't believe how big everyone is getting.
