I went to a Time Out For Women Retreat in Indianapolis. Same weekend as a Comic Con Convention in the same building--- they all they thought I was part of them! I've never felt so not out of place wearing a mask when I was walking in the hallways or outside. :) My friends named me the Winter Soldier.

They had a good time doing the end song "Step In Time" from Marry Poppins and everyone joined in!
And they loved playing outside and having snacks afterwards.
We didn't get a family picture . . . but we were all there to support these great kids!
Thanks Grandma for your patience with us all!

That's so sad that Nate got stuck on the freeway OVERNIGHT! Wow. I wonder how he survived that. I wonder what he did -- how he stayed warm -- if he had anything in the car to eat, etc...
That's a cool picture at night, with the trees, the moon and the clouds!
There sure were a lot of tree branches that came down in your back yard.
That's cool that you were able to go to the Time Out for Women in addition to the Comic Con Convention!
That's cool that your friend, the dancer lady, was able to go with you all!!
I LOVE that wacky St. Patrick's Day picture of the kids! Ha ha!!! That is SO funny!! I love what Z is doing -- how he looks! That's great!
You put together a good variety of GREEN food! That's a really good idea to have green beans!! That's perfect!
Nice picture of R & A, with R's cool HAT!
That is cool that Ak got a FREE picture book! And that is very awesome that Ak wrote a story! I like it!!! She has a very good imagination. She used some pretty descriptive words to describe the mean, ugly, nasty, "never want to touch her" Grandmother!
That's funny that she drew herself thinking "I did not do anything.", but SAID, "Yes, Grandmother." : )
That was great!! I want to hear more of the story!! I hope she continues writing it. I liked her spider near the door too.
Please tell Ak what I said here.
That's cool that they played a recital for you! I noticed that B is standing there to turn the pages for Ak. I need to show them a suggestion of what I do when I have more than two pages. Maybe I can explain it here. I make a copy of all of the pages so that each page is on a separate piece of paper. I take all of the pages (sometimes it's 8!), I fan them out. I put the last page onto the piano, then I put the next page on top of it, with about 1/4th of an inch of the last page showing to the right of it. Then I put all of the other pages on top of those pages in the same fashion, except for the very FIRST page. I put IT to the left of page 2, with about half of an inch of space between pages one and 2. Then, as I am playing the song, after I get onto page 2, as soon as possible, when I get a quick break with my left hand, I pull page 2 over onto page one. Then I do the same thing with all of the other pages. That helps things go really smoothly.
That's cool that Z has "HI MOM" on the back of his shirt!
That's cool that they had fun dancing to "Step in Time"!
There sure were a lot of people there! That's nice.
That's cool that Ak sat on the ground in the middle of the hoola-hoop. : )
Who made that very cool blue scout shirt cake?! Wow. That certainly took a lot of work!!
What's the object of the game with the ping-pong ball and the straws? That looks fun!
Thanks for sharing all of the pictures and telling about them!
