Everyone else had left for school but I stuck candles in a boiled egg and sang Happy Birthday to her!
We were at a friend's house for lunch - she had birthday muffins for her! We stuck a candle in that too!
For dinner we went and used our last free kids meal coupons at Big Boys . . . we had enough to share with friends, so they came too since their dad is deployed and they welcome distraction. Since it was her b-day she got to help drive around . . . maybe I should not post such evidence??? It's like 10 mph on a one way road, maybe 5 mph . It was fun to see all the lights and displays!
Ak says she isn't a little girl anymore since she's 5!
Here are her responses to 5 interview questions when we got home:
1. What are 3 words to descibe you? "I'm playful, hungry, and tired."
2. What are you afraid of? "Spiders, bad ants, and tornados."
3. What makes you happy? "Hugging my mom and dad and brother and sister."
4. What's your favorite scripture? "Nephi."
5. What do you want to study at college? "to be a teacher. a ballerina. a piano player. a cook."
She had an answer ready right away when I asked her those questions - I was impressed. (: She still loves purple and macaroni & cheese. She used to want to be a doctor - so we'll see what she says next year. Ak plays well by herself and is often singing! She picks out parts of songs on the piano by ear. She gives LOTS of hugs and says I LOVE YOU a lot. We're happy you are in our family Ak! We love you!!! Happy Birthday!!!

i LOVE the smiley face breakfast! Creative!
I love that you asked her those questions...I should remember that. I hope we can drive around tomorrow night to look at lights. So fun!
Wow! Ak had a wonderful day! I like the candles in the boiled egg! Good idea Mom! That's hilarious about the evidence of her driving!! And how you said, it's 10 miles per hour, maybe 5! : ) I loved Ak's answers to her questions! I noticed, too, that she didn't say "Doctor" this time, in regards to what she wanted to be when she grows up! I'm sure it might change a few more times! Especially as she gets older and sees more choices. That's funny that she says she's not a little girl anymore since she's 5! : )
